Brittany Murphy will soon be seen in some of the most anticipated projects in Hollywood. From the Ed Burn's film Sidewalks of New York to Penny Marshall's Riding in Cars with Boys, opposite Drew Barrymore for Columbia Tristar. Murphy also stars in Fox's Don't Say a Word opposite Michael Douglas. She will next be seen in Warner Brothers' Summer Catch starring opposite Freddie Prince. Jr.

Recently Murphy starred in Columbia Tristar's Girl, Interrupted, opposite Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie, and in Alan Rudolf's Trixie opposite Emily Watson and Nick Nolte for Sony Classic entertainment. Murphy gained national attention from her breakthrough role as "Tai Frasier", in the box office smash Clueless. Her credits include: Cherry Falls, Live Entertainment's Zack and Reba, Basement Film's Bongwater and Lakeshore Entertainment's Phoenix. Her additional film credits include Drive and the science fiction thriller Prophecy II: Ashtown.

Murphy appeared on Broadway in Arthur Miller's Tony Award winning A View From the Bridge, which was directed by Michael Mayer.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Murphy currently divides her time between Los Angeles and New York.
