Backgrounds

This is the easiest way.
Click on the background you wish to have (for 800 X 600 screens) then right click the image and highlight "set as wallpaper".
Then..
Go to the START button, then highlight SETTINGS, then CONTROL PANEL, double click DISPLAY and click on APPEARANCE and choose the background color to match the background you choose (black or white).
Remember to wait until the image is fully loaded before trying to save it as a wallpaper.
OR..
You can also right click the image, choose "SAVE IMAGE AS" and save it to your hard drive and then go to DISPLAY and BACKGROUND and click the BROWSE button, find your file you just saved and open it. Make sure CENTER is chosen as your display type. Some people may have to change the file type, to do this you must use Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Photoshop or some equivilant program. Open the file in your program and click SAVE AS save the file under the same name and directory, as a BMP file.

ICONS

We have 8 icons ready as well, in this zip file you will find a jpg, bitmap, and two ico files of each image so you may view it and its icon in both 32 X 32 and 48 X 48.
The larger(48 X 48) are labeled with an "a" at the end.
Example: britt1.jpg, britt1.bmp, britt1.ico, britt1a.ico
The jpg files, and bmp files are viewable in most browsers and programs so you can choose which image you want to use for your icon.
The first ico file is the 32 X 32
The second ico is 48 X 48.

After downloading and unzipping you load these icons by going to your START button on the bottom left of your screen. Then click SETTINGS, then CONTROL PANEL, then double-click DISPLAY then click the EFFECTS tab, it will give you the option to change your icons. Click BROWSE and find where you unzipped these icons and insert them where you want them, and voila! Brittany Icons for your desktop. If you have any images you would like us to make icons of, feel free to ask.
